FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

CareAssist Solutions Announces the Release of CareAssist Essentials Software Framework for General Download

BELLSHILL, LANARKSHIRE — 20 April 2007

CareAssist Solutions announce the availability of the CareAssist Software Framework for General Download to Care Homes in the United Kingdom - enabling Managers and Owners of Care Homes to download and implement the Care Home Management Software Framework Solution – CareAssist Essentials; from Monday 30th April 2007.

CareAssist Solutions also announced that the Software and Hardware Development Team continues to release value add modules to the existing suite of CareAssist Plus products with a heavy emphasis on research into new technologies that the Care sector can utilise.

The software has been designed to assist Care Home Management Teams in the running of their homes to meet the stringent rules and regulations as set out by the Care Commission, CSCI and the other governing and regulatory bodies.

Electronic record keeping and communication between Care Homes and the regulatory bodies is now becoming a necessity with the plans to implement on-line pre assessments.

The CareAssist Software was piloted by over 200 Care Homes in the North of England and Scotland and improvements were made based on the feedback from those Care Homes involved. Of the 200 Care Homes 15 have already taken receipt of the Software and are using it on a daily basis.

“We are confident that CareAssist will add tremendous value to any Care Service, especially now that we have released the framework for general download” said Bryce Furey, sales manager at CareAssist Solutions.

This sentiment has been echoed by Ian S. MacMaster of Scottish Care, the voice of the Independent Care Sector in Scotland – “We have been highly impressed by the ‘care home’ software/management system which Robert Beaton and his team have designed and produced. Meticulous research and planning have informed a user friendly design which, with great foresight, also incorporates a ‘quality assurance framework,’ currently under active consideration by key partners involved in the provision of care. Scottish Care members have already expressed interest in viewing the system and we wish CareAssist Solutions well, both in their product launch and in their future business activities.”

Our present customers have already benefited from using CareAssist in their Care Homes. Guardian Care Centre, a 7 unit Care centre in Stoke-on-Trent have been using the system now for a number of months and this is what Julian Dodd had to say when asked what he thought of the software:

“We have been using CareAssist since just before Christmas, we initially had it installed on one unit caring for young people with physical disabilities and were so impressed with the ease of use, the comprehensive range of documentation included, the adaptability to our particular client group and the level of support provided by the team at CareAssist, that we have now rolled it out to three other units for frail elderly and elderly mentally infirm clients.”

The CareAssist Product Suite has enabled the Guardian Care Centre to transform his Care centre culture into an “e-culture,” creating a network-enabled desktop Care Home Management infrastructure that will allow his staff to keep Resident, Staff and Care Home Records up to date in real time and have the ability to see if they are compliant with the rules and regulations as set out by the regulatory bodies by using the real time Audit Engine.

“CareAssist has proved to be a very valuable tool for my managers and carers” said Brian Masson, Proprietor, of View Park and Spring Gardens Care Homes. “CareAssist as a company are helpful and responsive and offer regular updates and training as the system develops.”

CareAssist Essentials is a collection of over 80 modules packaged together in a Role Based Management Solution driven by customer feedback and is part of CareAssist Solutions’ commitment to deliver the latest Care based Software Solution to the market.
